Live Roulette Bets: Inside and Outside Types, Explained

Learn live roulette inside and outside bets: straight, split, street, corner, six-line, even-money, dozens, columns, and one-sentence odds for each family.
Live Roulette Bets Inside and Outside Types, Explained
Inside bets cover fewer numbers and pay higher amounts. Outside bets cover more numbers but pay less. This is the basic layout of the table.
At BILA2CUCIVIP Malaysia, the dealer spins a real wheel on camera during live games. Chips are placed either on the number grid (inside) or in the large boxes around it (outside). This guide explains each type of bet and gives a quick odds summary for each. It does not cover betting systems.
If you’re new, complete the registration process first. Then, set a session limit by following the guide on setting a gaming budget in MYR.

European Wheel First

Most live roulette rooms here use a single-zero (European) wheel with 37 pockets (1 to 36 plus 0) and about a 2.70% house edge on standard bets. A double-zero wheel adds 00 and increases the house edge, so choose single-zero if you have the option. Lightning-style games use the same wheel, and multipliers usually apply only to straight-up numbers.

Inside Bets (The Number Grid)

Inside chips are placed on the numbered layout. Betting on fewer numbers means wins are less frequent but payouts are higher. Check the table’s minimum and maximum bets before you play, as a straight-up chip may have a different minimum than an outside box.

Straight-up (one number)

Chip on a single number, including 0. Odds idea: you are asking for 1 pocket in 37, and a win pays 35 to 1.

Split (two numbers)

Place your chip on the line between two touching numbers. Odds idea: two pockets in 37, paying 17 to 1. This is still rare and pays about half as much as a straight-up bet.

Street (three numbers)

Chip on the edge of a horizontal row (for example, 1-2-3). Odds idea: three pockets in 37, paying 11 to 1.

Corner / square (four numbers)

Chip on the cross where four numbers meet. Odds idea: four pockets in 37, paying 8 to 1.

Six-line / double street (six numbers)

Place your chip where two streets meet (for example, 1 to 6). Odds idea: six pockets in 37, paying 5 to 1. This is the largest common inside bet and has the smallest inside payout.
Trio bets on 0-1-2 or 0-2-3 are available on some layouts. Treat these as three-number inside bets, with the same 11 to 1 payout as a street, and they include zero.

Outside Bets (The Large Boxes)

Outside chips are placed on red/black, odd/even, high/low, dozens, and columns. These bets cover more of the wheel, so they win more often but pay less. The 0 is not red, black, odd, even, high, low, a dozen, or a column. A spin landing on zero loses a standard outside bet on a European table.

Even-money (red/black, odd/even, 1–18 / 19–36)

All three pairs pay 1 to 1. Odds idea: 18 winning pockets out of 37, which is almost like a coin flip, but zero is the extra pocket that prevents it from being exactly even.

Dozens (1–12, 13–24, 25–36)

This is a block of 12 numbers along the side of the grid. Odds idea: 12 pockets in 37, paying 2 to 1. This covers about one-third of the wheel, but zero still loses.

Columns (first, second, third)

A column is a vertical strip of 12 numbers (for example, 1, 4, 7, up to 34). Odds idea: same as a dozen, with 12 in 37 at 2 to 1. The only difference is the shape on the table.

How the Two Families Feel on a Live Table

Inside bets feel exciting because they cover fewer numbers, so wins take longer but pay more. Outside bets win more often at even money or 2 to 1. You can mix both types on one spin, but it does not change the house edge. It only affects how your MYR balance changes. Place your chosen bet before the dealer calls ‘no more bets.’ Avoid switching bets just because the camera zooms in.

A Simple MYR Read of the Same Spin

Suppose you sit with a MYR 50 session slice tonight-it’s a cap, not a system. One spin, two families:
  • MYR 10 straight-up on 17: if 17 hits, the posted return is 35 to 1 on that chip. If any other pocket hits, that MYR 10 is gone.
  • MYR 20 on red: if a red number hits, you get even money on that chip. If black or 0 hits, that MYR 20 is gone.
It’s the same wheel, but the chances of winning are different for each bet. Neither chip is ‘due’ for a win.

What This Guide Will Not Tell You

No betting progression, no ‘after three blacks bet red ‘, and no stake ladder  canbeat the 2.70% house edge. These strategies only change how losses are spread out; they do not affect the actual odds. Stick to a written MYR cap and use responsible gaming tools.

How to Place a Live Roulette Bet

  1. Open live casino on the web or the app
  2. Pick a single-zero roulette table and read the min/max
  3. Choose a chip size in MYR
  4. Tap an inside number group or an outside box before the dealer closes bets
  5. Watch the spin, then stop if the session cap is gone
If you are unsure about a payout, ask support or check the FAQ before playing the next round.

FAQs

Inside or outside, which is better?

Neither is better. Inside bets win less often but pay more. Outside bets win more often but pay less. Choose the style that fits your comfort level.
No. On a European wheel, 0 is green and sits outside those groups. A 0 spin loses standard even-money, dozen, and column bets.
Usually no. Multipliers attach to straight-up numbers. Outside families still pay even money or 2 to 1.
You can change your bet sizes if you like, but it will not change the house edge. The best control you have is sticking to a set session budget.

Know the Family, Then Stop

Live roulette on BILA2CUCIVIP is easier once you can name the chip: few numbers (inside) or many (outside). Keep one odds sentence per family, skip systems, and leave when the MYR cap is gone.
Open a live roulette table, place one family you can explain in a sentence, and leave the rest of the felt alone.
